Game · MS-DOS · DOSBox (js-dos)

Lavish vertical shoot-'em-up, released as freeware.

Loads and runs entirely in your browser. Click to start — your keyboard drives the machine.

Tip: click inside the screen to capture mouse & keyboard; press Esc to release. For v86 systems (FreeDOS, KolibriOS, Tiny Core), the first boot downloads the disk image, so give it a moment.

About

Tyrian is a richly-produced vertical scrolling shooter; Tyrian 2000 was released as freeware and its art assets later opened. It pushed the colour and detail a fast Pentium could deliver in the late DOS era.
